Locate Green Bay Releases

To find someone released from Green Bay Jail, follow the person's centralized Tarrant County booking rather than searching for a Green Bay release list. Green Bay is a large county detention facility, but TCSO maintains the custody record for the whole jail system. A name missing from the live roster may reflect release, transfer, or a search issue. The book-out record is the firm source for the date and disposition. It also shows whether the person entered the community or moved to another custodian.

Green Bay Release Paths

People held at Green Bay remain within the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office detention system. Central intake happens at the Corrections Center, and a later custody assignment does not start a new booking. The records trail follows the county identification and booking numbers. Green Bay therefore has no separate historical release search in the official sources reviewed.

A departure can end in the community after bond, time served, or a court order. It can also end in another jail, TDCJ, federal custody, or immigration custody. Transfer closes one TCSO custody entry but does not mean the person is free. Ask for the actual book-out time, release disposition, and disclosed receiving agency. Those fields clarify what happened after the person left the Corrections Center ledger.

Key distinction: removal from the live roster is only a clue. A Sheriff book-out record or Letter of Incarceration supplies durable custody evidence.

Confirm a Green Bay Release

The official TCSO Inmate Search accepts a last name, first name, county identification number, race, and sex. Its result shows identity fields and an "In Custody?" value. It is useful for determining whether TCSO currently reports the person, but it does not provide a historical release date, release reason, or a verified destination.

Use the search in this order:

  1. Search the exact name and try the county identification number when known.
  2. Record the booking number and dates from reliable paperwork instead of relying on a screen capture alone.
  3. If the name is absent, request the booking-specific book-in and book-out transaction from Sheriff Records.
  4. When the disposition is transfer, continue with the named receiving agency's system.
  5. Check the court judgment or bond order when legal authority for the departure also matters.

The full county search and release-record path is explained on the Tarrant County released inmates search. That path is especially useful when the last custodian is unclear. Court proof is split by case type: the County Clerk handles Class A and B misdemeanor records, while the District Clerk handles felony records.

Green Bay Release Records

The TCSO public-records page routes detailed booking requests. A narrow request should identify the full name, date of birth or county identification number, booking number, and a short date range. Ask for public portions of the book-in and book-out timestamps, actual release date and time, release disposition, transfer destination if public, and the booking photograph only if it is needed.

Generally 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requests may be filed through the county's JustFOIA route, mailed or delivered, or sent by ordinary unencrypted email. TCSO states that encrypted email will not be opened. Request public and redacted portions rather than demanding a broad compilation. Texas law allows exceptions for protected information, and no official source reviewed promises a fixed completion date or a specific retention period for every release record.

A former inmate seeking a simple statement of personal jail dates may use the Letter of Incarceration process. The released person ordinarily must appear at Sheriff Records with valid state photo identification. Published hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with arrival by 4:50 p.m. A friend or family member generally cannot obtain that personal letter for someone already released.

Green Bay Reentry Support

TCSO reports that requested reentry classes operate at Green Bay and the Corrections Center. The programs work with community organizations and resources for people who ask for help. Participation can support preparation for a return to the community, but it is not a public locator and does not prove that a release occurred.

Personal-bond paperwork should identify the next court location, date, and time. Keep that paperwork with the release record because it helps connect the custody event to the pending case. When a family member needs an operational update, call the jail information line rather than estimating a release hour. The official research did not establish a standard public pickup time, waiting area, rideshare point, or weekend procedure.

Note: The secured garage mentioned in jail history handles operations and is not published as a family pickup location.

Green Bay Contact Details

Current Green Bay custody questions use the jail-system information line. TCSO Records handles historical book-out proof, while reentry program questions belong with Inmate Services rather than the records office.

The Corrections Center is the public anchor for a TCSO detention system that reports about 5,000 beds across five facilities. That system count does not include municipal jails, FMC Fort Worth, or the Fort Worth Transitional Center. A Fort Worth Police arrest can end before county transfer, so identify the arresting agency before assuming there must be a TCSO booking.

Green Bay Jail Expansion

Tarrant County jail history traces Green Bay to the county's 1989 purchase of a former warehouse. Repeated expansions followed, and the county reports a capacity of 1,596 by 2007. This growth explains why many people associate the Green Bay name with county custody.

Green Bay's warehouse origin and later expansions explain its distinct name, not a separate record system. A transfer into or out of Green Bay leaves the central county booking active. TCSO's final disposition establishes community release or transfer to another custodian.

Green Bay ICE Transfers

Tarrant County participates in the federal 287(g) program, and an ICE detainer can change the meaning of "released from county jail." According to ICE detainer information, the request asks a jail for advance notice and may seek custody for up to 48 additional hours. A TCSO book-out can therefore mark transfer to immigration custody rather than arrival in the community.

When the release disposition points to ICE, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator System. Search by A-number and country of birth, or by exact name and country, with date of birth when available. The locator excludes some cases, including people under 18, and can lag. ICE says some recently released people may remain searchable for up to 60 days. No result alone does not settle the custody question.

Note: A transfer record proves departure from TCSO, while the receiving agency establishes what happened next.

Green Bay's reentry classes do not change the record route. Participation is voluntary service preparation, while the centralized booking disposition remains the evidence of release or transfer.
